For those of you unfamiliar with the "facility", it is overrun with rats, no heat, no cooling, no running water, and the kennels are too small. A new volunteer is spending time with each and every one so she can know about their personalities. We are a no kill County and up until now the ACO had been letting Bath County folks come and just take these dogs because he was desperate, not knowing what kind of a home they would be getting. Will worm, and de-flea/de-tick, get rabies, distemper with Hcert for $58. Would prefer not to alter only because they have nowhere to put these dogs (especially females) to recover except to take them back to the facility. Heartworm testing is available for $15. Spay is $52 and Neuter is $47.

She has been bred way too many times, and it certainly shows on her small framed, little body. Sadly, many people tend to overlook the beautiful mommas that have become saggy from making babies. We think she is absolutely gorgeous and her face is just as sweet as can be. It just melts your heart! She also gets the biggest, pittie smile in her kennel when she sees someone approaching that is absolutely irresistible (well I think so!). We are hoping someone will look past the sagginess and see all the other great qualities that she has to offer. She loooooves to play with toys and equally enjoys the water. She is such a blast to watch and interact with because she is so funny and spunky. Willow adores people (likes to cuddle and get on your lap), and she even gets along well with other dogs. Scarlett Mastiff Mix Large Adult Female EUTHANIZED SCARLETT is a beautiful, nice girl who is housebroken, great with kids and some other dogs. Her owner brought her in when she did get into a fight with his sisters dog so we want to make everyone aware that there is that potential. This girl is big headed and we are guessing she may be part mastiff? Just a guess though. She needs an owner who can handle a strong dog. She is a wonderful dog.

R.I.P Super sweet and gentle. Belonged to an elderly lady that passed away. UPDATE: A situation occurred at the shelter that has not ended well. Georgie was out in the playground area playing and stretching his legs...and Roscoe broke down his kennel door and attached Georgie. The shelter staffer was able to get them apart but by the time they did Georgie sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the vet?s office for emergency treatment. He is doing ok...but the damage is done. Georgie is still going to his rescue which is the best thing possible - he can recover in foster. BUT - Roscoe unfortunately will be euth'd. Whether it is his nature or the fact that he was at the shelter for so long...the shelter can't take the chance that he would do it again.
