I
am begging you for your help. We desperately need people to foster short
term AND long term (over a month). Sometimes, we need someone for just
an overnight, or a couple nights or a week. We cannot continue helping
the county animals in Mercer County without help fostering.
There was a sudden death in our city that left numerous dogs homeless. We are actively seeking fosters for these dogs, many are in rough shape. There are
small dogs, senior dogs & big dogs. There are at least 4 more out there, 1 more Pom & a Chi that will be out in the weather. We simply don't have the room
anywhere to put them. If you can help by fostering, rescuing or helping potty the ones in crates at our spay/neuter clinic, please let us know.

Seeking Foster Homes ONLY in Logan County..
We need foster homes for dogs, puppies, cats, and
kittens. Are you in Logan County and can help? Also, when we find a
rescue to help it is good to have animals out of the shelter for a two
week period before transporting to a rescue..That is where you also
can come in and help us.. You can help us save more lives by being a
foster home and help a rescue with the animals they want to take..
If you live in Logan County please apply to our Humane Society to be a foster home.. So many lives are depending on it.
For further information on becoming a foster home please email Elin:

Volunteers have many different reasons for helping us in their spare time, from simply wanting contact with animals and meeting new people, to learning new skills before committing to a new career in animal welfare. Volunteer help is an invaluable commodity. We could never accomplish all that we do for our animals without our beloved volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer, there are many avenues to explore. Whether you would like to work directly with the animals, or prefer to help in other ways, we have a spot for you. Here are some of the ways you can help:

Also, we need drivers for pull day. Please, if you live in the Richmond, Lexington, or Ravenna area or know someone who does, and you want a really rewarding experience saving these precious lives, we are in significant need of drivers and folks to get to the shelter and pull the babies out the day or two before they are killed.
Also, we would like to start pulling kitties and cats out, so anyone interested in saving/fostering these babies, please let us know and we can start getting them out.
